Bring your chili "ready to eat." There will be electrical outlets and tables available for you to set up and keep your chili warm. If you wish to set up a "presentation" please do so but also understand that under the "blind judging" rules we've established that your presentation will not have any effect upon the chili judging. (In other words, they won't see your presentation until after the judging is over.) But, the others will get a vote on the best presentation and you could win a trophy in this area as well.

Contestants are highly encouraged to arrive on time! When you arrive, look for signs directing you to the kitchen. Check in at the kitchen and provide a sample of your chili in the cup that will be provided to you.

Bowls, spoons, and napkins will be provided. You are responsible for providing serving utensils.

The judges will be sequestered during the judging so that they will be unaware of the "author" of each entry. They will be using modified national chili judging standards. Such things as color, taste, texture, aroma, appearance, and aftertaste will be judged.
